At RT, I’m doing four workshops plus i’ll be showing up and hanging out at a lot of other events.
My first Writers Workshop is: Conquering the Premature Beginning, Saggy Middle, and Flat End! (Wens 3:45-4:45) Joining me for this hands-on event are Z.A. Maxfield, Lynn Lorenz and Jianne Carlo. If you plan to join us, bring your manuscript or specific questions about challenges you face and you’ll have lots of chance to work on them with great advice!
My second writer’s panel is Sell Fast! Sell Often! How to Launch Your Writing Career Like a Pro! (Thurs. 1:30-2:30) with fellow Birdie pal, Cassandra Carr, and Daisy Harris. The three of us launched our own writing careers around the beginning of 2011 and we now have about 60 books between us. We’ll share some of what we’ve learned including whether to self-publish or go traditional, whether you need an agent, how much promo you really have to do, and a lot more.
The Readers Workshops will be a blast! Pimp My Badge (Wed 12:00 – 1:00) was a huge hit last year and
promises to be bigger and wilder this year with a boatload of authors hosting. Readers can come in and bling out their badges while winning a bunch of prizes. Don’t miss it!
And finally, Man oh Man! Why Women Love MM Romance (Fri 11:15-12:15)is the first workshop of its kind RT has ever done. I’ll join panel leader Belinda McBride, Damon Suede, Amy Lane, and ZA Maxfield for this romp through the past, present and future of MM.
I’ll also be showing up for the Loose Id Spotlight on Wednesday at 5:30 and i’ll probably make the Romance Pride: Over the Rainbow on Thursday at 2:45 and the Sex Goddess Hour on Friday at 10:00. At the Sex Goddess Hour, they’ll be giving away a couple of my books. And, of course, i have tons of SWAG with me.
The BIG event is the Digital Expo on Thursday from 4-6PM. ARe is the bookseller and they will make
available every book they have in their inventory. The word is that they’ll have great specials that will be available not only to those attending RT, but also to those who click in from home. Do you see the icon in the right column at the top? When the time comes, (remember it’s Kansas City Time) click that icon and something special should happen!
I’ll also be hanging out at the FANtastic Party on Saturday at 6:30! Sadly, i won’t be at the Big Book Fair since RT’s bookseller was not able to get my print books.
I’m thinking that my workshops will be jam packed with great information, so i’ll come back and share it with you. Meanwhile, over at
