Hi! On October 14th, the first book in my contemporary fantasy series, The Pennymaker Tales, re-releases. It’s called Sinders and Ash. It is re-edited and has a fabulous new cover since the first edition, but is essentially the same story i released previously. I was re-reading some of the reviews and noticed people tend to either love this story madly, smile and shrug at the cuteness, OR take the story MUCH too seriously! LOL. Some people critique the story as if it were one of my contemporaries. That’s fair. It is contemporary, BUT remember it’s a contemporary fantasy. I mean, look at that cover, folks! LOL. It could maybe happen — but it’s not likely, any more than the Cinderella type stories on which it’s based could happen. Still, the people who will love this series are the ones who wish it would happen. The pure romantics.
Sinders and Ash is based on a Cinderella trope. It’s not a parody in any way, but it draws on the themes of the story that has captivated readers in virtually every country in the world. The theme of Cinderella is quality unrecognized and hidden. Sinders and Ash reflects that theme. It also incorporates the idea of the abused innocent.
I hope you’ll enjoy this story and the other books in the series that will follow. Keep the fairy tale romance in your life and Read Sinders and Ash!
