*rolls in like a tumbleweed* Don’t know why a tumbleweed, never seen one but they always strike me as kinda cute. Okay, random aside over, I’d like to thank Tara for hosting me again, it’s always a blast to get out of the writing cave and actually TALK to people.

So, what am I talking about today? Wolves. Werewolves to be precise, but I’m not talking the ‘Dog Soldiers’ kind of werewolves or even the seriously sexy kind of werewolves like the hero of my last release, Running from the Pack, although he’s in there and larger than life.

Normally I would focus on the hero. After all what kind of woman wouldn’t like to be the focus of a man (a yummy werewolf in this case) making her the centre of his world—forget to have and to hold, these guys go way deeper than that with their mating bonds.

But yeah…today I want to talk about the nastier side of werewolf tales. The side we don’t really see so much in paranormal romance. Penny in Running from the Pack isn’t a natural born wolf (That’d make a good title actually…) but was bitten. Since then she’s had a pretty shitty run of luck. The pack she joined was taken over by an abusive alpha (seems even wolves can be d*ckheads) and she made the choice to run far and fast, and to try and deal with her heat phase on her own (which doesn’t work but you’ll have to read the book to find out why ;)).

She’s a strong, independent woman who’s doing her best of the lot life handed to her, and she’s not waiting around for a man to save her, much less one who turns her knees to jelly. So what does she do? She does a little internet research on her new condition and starts working out ways to combat it. Spelled chains, and wolfsbane (which if you look it up, has some preeeetty nasty effects on the human body) are her weapons of choice.

So, this is my question. You’ve been bitten by a werewolf, what do you do? How do you cope with a total shift in your life, your priorities and you’re facing the new moon with a hair problem no amount of pink razors or hair remover is going to deal with?

Me personally? I’d hit the chocolate fudge cake with a vengeance and start plotting which of my favourite actors to go bite *evil grin*

So, here’s a little info on Running from the Pack, which is now available from Amazon, Amazon UK and Are. I’m giving away a copy today/tomorrow for the best answer to the above question and if you head on over to my blog – I’ve also got a contest going at the moment for five ebooks (of which Running from the Pack is one)

Running from the Pack
It’s never easy staying ahead of the pack, but for Penny, it might just save her life…
Since ditching her pack after an offer she “couldn’t” refuse from her tyrannical pack alpha, Penny’s been on the run. Always on the move, she never stays in one place for long, avoiding other werewolves like the plague. As the full moon approaches, this one brings with it her toughest challenge yet—her heat phase. And so, rather than letting her animal instincts rule, to force her to bed the first man she comes across, Penny hatches a plan that involves a basement and chains, but sadly, the non-kinky kind.
But lone wolf Cade Steele has other ideas. He’s watched Penny from afar since she was turned, and now that he’s found her, he’s determined not to let the little she-wolf face her heat on her own. Cade is wolf enough to match her animal instinct, and alpha enough to claim her. As his mate, her body may become part of his territory, but her heart would be an altogether different matter.
When Penny’s past finally catches up with her, her ex-alpha isn’t taking no for an answer this time. The question is, with their lives on the line, can Penny and Cade answer the call of the wild?
Note: This title has been previously released with another publisher under the title Moon Madness.
