I have to share that i’m happy dancing all over town. The Rainbow Awards were just announced. Almost 500 books representing all categories of LGBT Literature from all over the world were entered and 170 judges toiled over getting their ratings just right for the better part of a year. Seven judges read every book! And — drum roll puh-leez —-
KNIGHT OF OCEAN AVENUE placed second in Best Gay Contemporary Romance (one of the largest categories in the Awards) and placed #4 in Best Gay Book!
WINTER’S WOLF came in third in Best Gay Paranormal Romance and was 10th in Best Gay Book!!
I couldn’t believe i had TWO books in the Best Gay Book Runners-up!
I’m also delighted that KNAVE OF BROKEN HEARTS and CANNING THE CENTER received Honorable Mentions.
I can’t say thank you enough to Elisa who organizes this huge event every year and has made these Awards truly coveted in LGBT Literature.
Must go dance some more!! : )
I knew your gorgeous Wolf was going to make it! I had fun reading the series (read the previous books so I could get an accurate ‘feel’ for this one before judging it). The best feeling was seeing how each book was better than the previous one.
I wish I could’ve had the chance of judging Knight but I see, and I’m glad, that the judges gave it a great rating.
You, my dear, are an excellent storyteller. Keep up the great work and much success to you in 2016!
Happy Holidays, hon!
