Hi! Happy NaNo! I did NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) one time back in 2011 and enjoyed it. In fact, I “won” by writing 50,000 words in a month and went on to sell that book. It was called Deceptive Attraction and it came out in 2012. NaNo had a big impact on my writing practice since i got to see clearly how much i was capable of writing. It helped establish my word count ever since and i now average about 11-12,000 words a week.
I haven’t been able to do NaNo since 2011 because under the rules you have to begin the book on November 1st and i’m usually in the middle of something instead. This year, however, the timing worked. I just finished a book three days ago and I’m using this week to think through the plot of my next book, which i’ll start on Nov. 1st. The book is called Fool of Main Beach, the fifth book in my Love in Laguna Series. It won’t come out until fall of 2017, but i want to write it now for Nano.
