Hi everyone — Today it’s my delight to welcome my good friend, Jessica Freely, who is introducing her new book, UNBOUND! Before i let her tell you about it, i want to let you know that Jessica is giving away a copy of His Own Devices to one lucky commenter, so be sure and leave a comment. Here’s Jessica —
Hi everyone, Jessica Freely here. Big thanks to Tara for having me over today to share the news about my new release, Unbound, the third book in my Freedom series. Here’s a bit about it:
When Larke met Droje his whole world changed. Now he’s left behind everything he’s ever known to join Droje’s band of freedom fighters. Life on the run is full of perils but Larke doesn’t care so long as he’s by Droje’s side. Every day he’s discovering more — about who he is, who he can become, and the unprecedented feelings he has for Droje. But when an enemy from within nearly costs Larke his life, Droje’s efforts to protect him could end their relationship and rob Larke of his chance to help the rebellion as only he can. In this third volume of the Freedom series, Larke learns that before he can free others, he must first free himself.

And now, because it’s cold in space too…
Larke and Droje’s guide to keeping warm:
1) Get lots of skin to skin contact, preferably with a hot guy.
2) Strong physical exertion will keep your heart pumping and raise your body temperature.
3) Rope makes a surprisingly warming wrap-up.
4) Avoid soy rations and sudden, life-altering revelations. Both of these things will make you shiver.
What’s your favorite way to stay warm this winter?
Comment below and be entered to win a free copy of His Own Devices. The books all take place in the same universe and the protagonists of His Own Devices make a cameo appearance in Unbound.
And here’s a steamy excerpt to keep you extra warm in the meantime!
Droje said, “When something that mattered to you was at stake, you fought for it. You’re no pushover.”
“What do you mean?”
“When I tried to get you to stay behind on Hanova, you stood up to me. You didn’t let me tell you what to do.”
Larke looked away. “I really wanted to get out.”
“I know. And you made sure you got what you wanted.” Droje ran his fingers through Larke’s hair, soothing Larke’s scalp even as his callouses caught every now and then against the silken strands, tugging just a little bit. He cupped Larke’s jaw. “So why are you preventing yourself from getting what you want now?”
Droje’s proximity made an even stronger argument than his words. But— “I’m selfish. I’m not like you. I was only thinking of myself.”
“Well don’t stop now.” Droje buried his face in the crook of Larke’s neck and claimed the tender flesh with lips and teeth and tongue.
Larke’s cock filled.
“Mmm.” Droje grasped the taut rope of the hammock on the other side of Larke and straddled Larke’s body.
Larke molded to him. “You really like it like this?”
Droje tilted his hips and pressed his hard cock against Larke’s belly. The roughness of his voice belied the grace of his movements. “Can’t you tell?”
Heat radiated from Droje’s cock into Larke’s abdomen and down to his groin. “You won’t get bored?”
Droje chuckled. “Boredom is a lazy person’s word for a failure of imagination. I have a great imagination.”
Shivers raced down Larke’s spine and straight to his cock. “What are you imagining right now?”
“You, tied up and helpless, begging for my cock in any hole you can offer.”
God. Larke moaned.
Droje reached down and stroked Larke through his pants. “You like the sound of that.”
Larke, his nerves a tangled mass of lightening shot wire, couldn’t find his voice. He nodded.
Droje gazed unwaveringly at him. The corners of his eyes tightened a fraction as a jagged flash of raw emotion passed through their depths. He bit his lip. “How could you ever think I wouldn’t want you?”
Larke’s heart pounded in time with his cock. Those words. And Droje’s face—the way he looked at Larke as if gazing at the Veldani Nebula for the first time. What had he said Larke had? Nobi. Strength, but a different kind of strength. Was it true?
Droje gripped Larke’s hips with his knees, anchoring himself as he released his hold on the netting. He undid the button at the top of Larke’s shirt and pressed his lips to the hollow at the base of Larke’s neck.
Larke’s pulse stuttered.
Droje undid another button and pressed another kiss to Larke’s skin.
Tension drained from Larke’s body. Droje was going to take care of him. He didn’t have to worry. He didn’t have to worry about anything. Not now.
Another button, another kiss, and again and again until Droje had Larke’s shirt undone. He scooted down and kissed Larke’s belly.
Larke trembled.
Droje swirled his tongue in Larke’s navel.
Larke’s cock throbbed.
Droje undid Larke’s pants and braced himself before pulling them down over Larke’s slender hips. He tossed them over his shoulder and they floated away like a tan twill cloud. Next he pushed Larke’s shirt off his shoulders.
The first time they made love Larke’s hands had gotten caught in the cuffs and Droje had used the shirt to restrain him, but this time the cuffs were rolled up and they slipped free from Larke’s wrists. Droje tossed the shirt over his shoulder and it drifted off too. The room was rapidly filling with squalls of permanent press.
Droje wrapped an arm around Larke’s waist, bent his head and lightly ran his tongue around the rim of Larke’s cockhead, barely touching the sensitive flesh, teasing it.
Tiny starbursts sparked in Larke’s belly. “Oh God!”
Droje sucked him down, enveloping Larke in the wet heat of his mouth like it was what he was born to do. A low guttural groan escaped him.
Larke gripped the netting harder and curled his toes.
Slowly, Droje stroked Larke with his lips and his tongue. That little crease between his eyebrows was back as he put everything he had into sucking Larke off.
Lost in Droje’s licks, sucks, and moans, Larke drifted in a haze of warm delight.
Droje wrapped an arm around each of Larke’s upper thighs. “Let go.”
“Huh?”
“Let go of the hammock,” Droje said. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you.”
He did. Droje’s firm grip anchored them together. Still, Larke hesitated.
“Do you trust me?”
“I do.” Larke let go.
Droje gave the wall a gentle push with his foot and they floated out into the middle of the room. He sucked Larke down again, taking him in all the way to the root and then gliding back up until just the head of Larke’s cock rested between his lips.
Lark’s balls drew up. He arched his back. “God, Droje, I’m going to come.”
Droje slid off of him and released his hold. “No you’re not. Not yet.”
Larke hung in midair. What would Droje do next? He drew a shaky breath.
Droje unhooked the collapsed hammock from the ceiling and unwound it until it lay slack in his hands, a gently undulating length of rope. He took Larke’s wrists and held them behind his back, one crossed over the other. He wrapped the rope around them and tied them securely in place.
Larke’s heart raced. Every nerve in his body tingled, straining for whatever was to come.
Droje ran the two ends of the rope around Larke’s waist and over his upper thighs. His touch was sure and steady as he bent Larke’s right leg at the knee, wrapped one end of the rope around the ankle, and knotted it. He repeated the process on the left leg.
Larke couldn’t straighten his legs or use his hands. The coils of rope hugged his body, holding him, restraining him. His heart lifted as if filled with helium. He’d be floating even if they weren’t in zero G.
Droje bound Larke’s calves to his thighs and ran the rope up over the small of his back, drawing his knees up to his chest. With quick, efficient moves Droje tied the final knot, leaving Larke’s ass and cock exposed.
He was at the utter mercy of this man he barely knew.
Except that he did know Droje, instinctively. Even before he understood anything about the Movement, when he still thought slavery was justified and Droje was a terrorist, he’d been drawn to the man, had craved the strength and safety of Droje’s arms. When they’d wrapped around him that first time, all the tension had drained from Larke. His body had always known it was safe with Droje. The rest of him just followed.
Now, secure within the bonds Droje so painstakingly made for him, Larke let all his anxieties and insecurities go. They fled on his breath. His muscles relaxed, his pulse slowed. A delicious torpor filled him. Immobilized, there was nothing he could do, nothing he needed to do, and no one he needed to be, except himself.
