I’m happy to be participating in RJ Scott’s Autism Awareness Blog Hop this month. First, let me mention if you leave a comment, you’ll be entered to win your choice of any of my ebooks that include an animal. That’s MOST of my books. So if you win, you can put in your request for which book you’d like to have.
Here is the link to the main post at RJ’s. Be sure to check that out. http://rjscottauthor.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/autism-awareness-blog-hop-2017.html
Here are some startling facts about autism —
1 in 42 boys are diagnosed with autism
1 in 189 girls are diagnosed with autism.
Over 3.5 million individuals in the United States have autism.
These statistics alone tell you how essential it is to understand and advocate for autism awareness and education. We likely all know someone with autism.
RJ chose animals as a theme for the blog hop and i’m happy to pick up that thread. First, how about some pictures of my girl Jolie, my papillon. She’s my girl and one of these days i’m going to write a book about a papillon.
I also want to tell you about my newest rerelease which has a very prominent animal character. The book is Brush with Catastrophe and the character is Aloysius, the black cat who is also the world’s most powerful witch’s familiar. If you’d like to read an excerpt click HERE.
Now be sure to leave me a comment about your favorite animal. I’ll choose one person at random and you can have any of my books that feature any kind of animal. That might be a cat, dog, bulls, horses, and there might even be some others. You can glance through my books on the Book pages.
Thank you so much for coming by!
Love your Papillon! I love dogs and cats but like cats the most. I love their attitudes!
Natalie, actually I’m a cat person too, but my husband is allergic to them. A Papillon is a very catlike dog, so that’s one of the reasons i love her so much. : )
I’ve always loved hummingbirds…they’re so tiny and aerodynamically unsound, but are so fierce (one by your head sounds like a military plane) and still fly!
Trix, they say that if they were big, hummingbirds would be dangerous since they’re so aggressive!LOL. : )
I love my tortoise, Fred. He’s (actually Fred is a she, but we didn’t know that when we got him/her) been in my family for the past 50 years and is roughly 120 years old. He comes to sit with us when we are in the garden and my next door neighbour’s hate her because every year she buries under the fence to get and eat her strawberries!
I’m in love with Fred! LOL. : )
I love dogs. I’m also a big fan of Ian’s beach-going cat. 🙂
Jillian, i’ve become a big dog lover since acquiring one 6 years ago! And i sure did love creating Anderson Cooper. : )
My favourite pet has to be one of my cats called Ben he was the most contrary cat you ever have but he could be so loving and sweet I really miss him.
Shirley Ann, cats do entice us with their sweet contrariness. : )
Thank you for participating in RJ’s Autism Awareness Blog Hop.
I don’t have pets, because of my allergies. But I think I am more a dog person than a cat person.
Tanja, i know about the allergies. My poor honey breaks out in red eyes and running nose and wheezes around cats. Not dogs though. : )
thank you for the post. My favourite animals are cats, but I love dogs as well. In fact, there are few four legged animals I do not like…
Susana, I’m with you. I adore animals. If you follow me on Instagram you find that out quickly. That’s mostly what i post! : )
I love most animals but I seem to mostly end up with dogs as pets. As my favourite wild animals are wolves I guess you could say I’m a canidae lover.
*Don’t bother adding my name for the prize as I have all your books already. ?
Thank you, Ilona!! HUGS! : )
I absolutely love furry cuddlers,I have two dogs that love to cuddle. Thank you for the chance to win one of your books.?
Thanks for the post and for the adorable pics of Jolie! My favorite animals are penguins. They are so interesting and entertaining. But, for a pet I love both cats and dogs, leaning slightly more towards cats.
Penguins are amazing! HUGS!
Rats. We inherited one from our son and his gf. Husband and I both adored her and cried when she died, like babies. We’ll have more one day, once I come to terms with their way too short life spans…
I have a friend who has rats. she named one Tara. : )
I love White Tigers the most, I used to own cats but hubby got allergy related asthma, so now I own dogs, I’ve got 5 at the moment, they’re pound rescues, the youngest is my favourite, she’s a black Pomeranian and 2.5 years old, very cat like sometimes, especially her nails lol
Yes, my Papillon is like a kitty. She washes her face with her paw, is super finicky about food, and generally has a sense of entitlement — but she greets us like a totally adoring dog! LOL.
I don’t have a pet since I like to travel so would be away from home. My family has bird feeders, so we can watch birds come and go, enjoying animals without too much bother..
I love my cats and they help me to relax. Thank you for sharing
