I read a lot of wonderful books each year and every now and then i encounter one that really blows me away. Here are a couple that fall into that category for me — some of my Fave Books of 2015.
I know it’s no big revelation to most of you that Heidi Cullinan’s CARRY THE OCEAN is special beyond belief. This story of the love between an autistic young man and a guy with severe depressive syndrome is moving without ever being sentimental or sappy. Full of unique humor and great truth, it’s a book that will stay with you forever.
You might not assume that a story about a German Shepherd that turns into a human would be a book to cherish, but that’s exactly what Eli Easton’s HOW TO WALK LIKE A MAN is. Eli, whose books are always known for their charm and humor, also manages to capture great poignancy and emotion in her stories. That’s what occurs in this tale of a military dog who has to learn to live as a man. It’s great!
Grab both books for your holiday reading. : )
I just loved How to Walk Like a Man- so charming and sweet!
Carry the Ocean has been on my TBR list a while now. I guess I better hop to it!!!
I really recommend it, Sheila. : )
