I just spent the weekend editing about eight hours a day. I’m whipped! So for a blog post, i thought i’d just post a few lines from the book i’m working on. It’s called CANNING THE CENTER, the second book in the Long Pass Chronicles. It will be released December 17th. (The first book in the series, OUTING THE QUARTERBACK, comes out September 19th.)

All i’ll tell you in that CANNING THE CENTER is the love story of a pro football center and a drag queen!  LOL. This excerpt is from about half way through the book and it just happens to be the paragraph i’m reading as part of my editing —

Jamal laughed and pulled into his parking garage, but junior Jamal had assumed a highly attentive position. Jamal hopped out of the car and circled it quickly, opening the door for Trevor. This time he got the view of long legs in tight black pants and stiletto heels. The idea that there was a dick between those legs about sent him into orbit. He reached in. Trevor took his hand and stood then kept on coming until he reached up and kissed Jamal full on the lips. “Get me upstairs quick.”

Shit. Shit. Those towering heels suddenly became the enemy. Jamal slammed the car door, beeped the lock, and led Trevor across the garage to the door of the lobby. Slow down or you’ll trip him. Inside, he glanced at the stairs he usually took, then over at the deadly slow elevator. One solution. He reached down and picked Trevor up.

“Whoa!”

“Hang on, baby.” He started up the stairs.

“Oh my God, it’s Rhett Butler.” He laughed and rested his head on Jamal’s shoulder. “Aren’t I too heavy?”

Jamal’s cock throbbed way more than his biceps. On floor two, he stopped, slipped Trevor down to the floor, pressed him against the wall and kissed him, then pulled back. “Sorry. I know I’m supposed to be getting us up there, but I needed more fuel.”
