Top 10 Eddie Redmayne Performances #Actors #Nerds

Hi —

I hope you got to enter to win the $10 Amazon GC in the Hearts and Flour Blog Blast. If not, click Here and pop over to see my new release. Speaking of adorable nerds, here’s a fun video on one of my favorite guys, Eddie Redmayne.  A cover artist recently asked me for inspiration on how my hero in an upcoming book looks. I said he was an Eddie Redmayne lookalike. I adore Eddie’s quirky looks and think he’s a brilliant actor. I watch Fantastic Beasts again and again even though i don’t like much about the plot partly because of the charm he brings to Newt Scamander. Eddie is my nominee for human most likely to be an elf.

Chances are, you like I have not seen many of his performances. Check out this video and it may enhance your To Watch list.

Thank you so much for coming by. My next release is a paranormal, my first in a couple years. called Rome and Jules. You can preorder it now everywhere. : )

Micah stashed his bike in the shed behind the house. He couldn’t stop chuckling.
Dharmaram would be so happy. Micah fingered the wrapped box in his pocket. The
bracelet that rested inside was pure gold and engraved with abstract shapes the
salesman had told Micah were dolphins. That sold him, of course. It cost a
bundle, but he didn’t care. He loved it. The look on Dharmaram’s face when
Micah gave it to him tomorrow would be worth twice the price. He knew it.
At least he was home early tonight, so maybe they could watch a little TV and snuggle.Tomorrow Micah would start prep on the meal in the early afternoon. He wanted
to blow it out. Candles and flowers. Good china and silver. Well, he didn’t
really have good stuff, but he’d bought a new deep pink tablecloth that would
set off his plain white plates and make them special.
He fit his key in the lock and stepped into the kitchen. Funny, the lights were off.
Dharmaram usually turned on every light in the house when he got home. Maybe
he’d had an extra class to teach this afternoon and hadn’t thought to mention
it.
“Merwaor.”
Micah paused and let Furtwangler step onto his shoulder from the top of the
refrigerator. He scratched the cat’s chin. “Hi, guy. How you feeling?” Like the
glacier for which he was named, at seventeen Furtwangler was slowly
disappearing. One of the only good things to come out of Micah’s time with his
mother, Furtwangler was still a great cat.
Micah turned on the light and slipped his shoes onto the shoe rack. He pulled the
package from his pocket. “Where shall I put this so that our nosy roommate
won’t find it, guy? What do you think?”
“Merwaor.”
Micah glanced up at the high glass-front cabinets in the kitchen. Good thought.
Dharmaram hated to cook, so if he was left alone he’d never open a cabinet.
Just graze in the refrigerator on whatever Micah had left for him.
Holding on to Furtwangler with one hand, Micah stood on tiptoe and opened the top door. He slid the present behind the teapot he used for herb infusions. He really
wanted to give the bracelet to Dharmaram tonight, but he’d force himself to
wait. It would be more special tomorrow.
He walked through the dark dining room into the living room. No lights. He turned on a low TV-viewing light. “Stay here, guy. We’ll watch some TV, okay?”
The cat slithered off his shoulder to the comfortable, cotton-velour-covered couch, and Micah headed down the hall to the bedroom.
“Umpf.” Micah stopped. “Ohhhhh.” Shit, was that Dharmaram? Had he hurt himself doing his damned backward-bending pose again? He took two more steps.
“Oh, oh, oh!”
         What was wrong?
Micah ran the last seven steps and threw open the bedroom door in time to see a
large bare ass in the air and a very big dick shoving its way into the pink
butthole of the guy Micah had just spent five hundred dollars on.

He pushed through the swinging kitchen door and found a couple of caterers laughing and gossiping quietly in a corner. Bet they had something to talk about. And there, back to him by the sink, was the woman.
As he looked at her now, Micah realized there was no way she could be a caterer,
unless she owned the company. The red dress was silk and those four-inch
stilettos would have paid his mortgage for a month. She wasn’t real tall. Even
with the shoes, he guessed she’d be a little shorter than his six feet. Very
slim with just a slight rounding at her hips, strong, lean legs, and willowy
arms in the long sleeves. A mane of golden hair fell over her shoulders. The
color looked real but well tended, like it cost a bundle to keep that silken
shine.
Why the hell was he staring at her? Unlike his erstwhile boyfriend, he had no interest in women in any sexual or romantic sense. Never had. But what was she doing
here?
She filled a glass from a spigot of filtered water.
Her head went back, so he assumed she was drinking. Suddenly she turned toward him, and he was staring into brilliant blue eyes. “Did you want some water too?”
Her voice was soft and low. A lilt suggested moonlight and magnolias.
“Uh, sure. Yes. I’d like some.”
She reached into a cabinet like she owned the place, pulled out a glass, and filled
it from the spigot. Micah watched the play of muscles across the low back of
her dress. Then she turned with the water glass extended. Man, what a beauty.
Delicate, sculptured features—wide eyes, soft lips, a pointed chin—all
surrounded by the velvet blanket of smooth gold hair.
Micah stared and… stared. Beautiful face. Beautiful Adam’s apple.
“You’re a guy.”
She… uh…
he smiled. “Of course. Why else would I be here, sugah?” The “why” sounded like
“wha” and the “I” like “ah.”
Micah grinned. “Excellent question. You’re quite convincing as a woman. And very beautiful.” Jesus, his body didn’t care what the guy was. Total turn-on. Who
knew he’d get excited over a cross-dresser?
“Thank you, kind sir. So are you.”
Micah stuck out his hand. “I’m Micah.”
He took it. His skin was so soft Micah could barely feel it except for the warmth that flowed straight to his balls. He smiled. “I’m called Queen.”
“But you’re not a queen, are you? I mean, a drag queen?”
He smiled. Hell, it was practically demure. “No. Just a man who likes to wear
women’s clothes sometimes.”
Micah was out of his depth here, but he felt willing to drown. “Like a transvestite?”
Queen sipped his water. “I prefer to avoid labels. I only get the chance to dress up
occasionally. I’m perfectly happy in men’s clothes as well.”
Micah smiled. “It’s confusing.”
Queen looked up through his lashes, which were darker than his hair. “How so?”
“I’m not usually attracted to women.”
“Ah, but I’m not a woman.”

Top 10 Ads from the Super Bowl. #Footballromance

Hi! Did you watch the Super Bowl? I did. Interestingly, I’ve never been a big football fan until i wrote the Long Pass Chronicles, 3 books that include football players as their main characters. The books are Outing the Quarterback, Canning the Center, and Tackling the Tight End. They turned out to be among my most favorite books, and, of course, i had to learn a lot about football in order to write them. Even though the love interests aren’t football players, it takes tons of research in any field to make a character authentic.

Also, i watch the Super Bowl for the ads. I’m actually a partner in a marketing communication company as well as a full-time romance writer, so i love ads and appreciate them. It makes sense to share this great video showcasing the Top 10 Super Bowl ads. My personal fave had to be the Dirty Dancing ad for the NFL, but that’s partly because i adore the movie. Which were your favorites?  Check out this list —

Thanks for coming by. My next release is actually a re-release of Hearts and Flour on Feb. 14th. You can preorder it now! Here’s the LINK.

A Son For The Cowboy
(The Boones of Texas Series, #5)
By Sasha Summers

Blurb:

IT’S TIME TO DADDY UP!

For retired rodeo queen Poppy White, settling down in the picturesque little town of Stonewall Crossing, Texas, had seemed ideal. Until Toben Boone showed up on her doorstep. It had been a lifetime since their explosive one-night encounter in Cheyenne. Her son Rowdy’s lifetime. And she hadn’t heard a word since.

Toben was still easy on the eyes, still able to set her pulse racing–and still breaking the hearts of buckle bunnies all over the circuit, she had no doubt. But if he thought his boyish cowboy charm, dangerous dimples and baby blues were going to sweep her off her feet again, he was in for a big surprise. A big six-year-old surprise!

Excerpt

Toben’s cut-off jeans were uneven, but the length of muscled legs revealed was impressive. He wore a short-sleeved button up shirt… hanging open to reveal far too much of him. His jeans rested low on his hips. The sharp cut and dip of muscles of his chest and stomach had her dipping beneath the water again.

When she came up, Toben was laughing.

“Did you hear that, Ma?” Rowdy asked.

            She shook her head. “What?”

            “Otis’s joke,” Rowdy said.

Otis had told a joke? She glanced at her nephew. He was smiling. So was Dot. Were they really having a good time? She grinned. “What joke?”

“What do you call a bear with no teeth?” Otis asked.

            Poppy shrugged.

            “A gummy-bear,” Otis answered.

            She laughed.

“Next time the water’s up we could float down to the first bridge?” Toben asked. “Not much current right now, but it sure feels good.”

“Your eye’s all messed up.” Dot pointed out. “Looks like it hurts.”

He nodded. “It doesn’t feel good.”

            “What happened?” Otis asked.

Toben glanced at her. “I walked into something.”

She frowned. The thing he’d walked into was sporting an angry bruise on his jaw. Mitchell had left before Rowdy woke up because he didn’t want to upset her son. She knew boys would be boys, but why would Mitchell and Toben exchange blows? What good would that do? Maybe Toben hadn’t changed. The Toben she remembered had either been picking up women or starting fights.

“Next time you should watch where you’re going.” Rowdy said, swimming to the flat rock.

Toben was still looking at her. “There won’t be a next time.”

She hoped that meant he and Mitchell had reached an understanding. If they were going to do this, raise Rowdy together, no one should be throwing punches.

“I’m jumping,” Rowdy said, leaping off the rock.

The water splashed, eliciting laughter all around.

Poppy smiled, watching them together. For the first time in days, the three of them were getting along.

“How deep does it get?” Otis asked.

“I’ll find out,” Poppy swam out. The water they’d been swimming in wasn’t deep, she could sit and the water reached her chin. But in the middle of the river, she had to stand on tip-toe in places. “Too deep.”

Surprisingly, none of them argued. They took turns jumping off the rock, splashing each other and spinning in the inner tube she’d carried down.

Toben surfaced beside her. “Good to see them smiling. I was beginning to think they didn’t have it in them.”

Poppy nodded, acutely aware of how close he was. “What happened with Mitchell?” she asked.

He swam around her, putting them face to face. “Does it matter?”

Her gaze locked with his. “Yes.”

“He the one you’re engaged to?” he asked, his voice wavering slightly.

“No.” She opened her mouth, then closed it. “Does it matter?”

His blue eyes narrowed but he didn’t say anything. Instead he disappeared beneath the water. Seconds later, his hand grabbed her ankle and he tugged her under.

Poppy plunged beneath the water, swallowed in sensation. His hands sliding up her bare stomach. His arm sliding around her waist, anchoring her against him. He was warm, and strong, his bare chest pressing against hers and lighting a fire inside of her. She was going to drown, in this—not the water. And then he was tugging her back to the surface.

“He got you, Ma,” Rowdy said, laughing.

She sputtered, her hands gripping Toben’s shoulders until there was air in her lungs. But seeing his chest, the rounded muscles of his shoulders, his thick neck and square jaw… She was gasping for air. Her fingers curled into the wet fabric of his shirt.

Don’t look at him. Don’t do it.

Her eyes met his. And the hunger she saw there, raw and fierce, had her pushing off of his chest and back under the water. She swam back to the rock, pulling herself out and onto the flat surface. It was hot, so she spread her shirt out and sat, dazed.

Cowboys Don’t Come Out
by Tara Lain

 Blurb:

Rand McIntyre settles for good enough. He loves his small California ranch, raising horses, and teaching riding to the kids he adores—but having kids of his own and someone to love means coming out, and that would jeopardize everything he’s built. Then, despite his terror of flying, he goes on a holiday to Hana, Hawaii with his parents and meets the dark and mysterious Kai Kealoha, a genuine Hawaiian cowboy. Rand takes to Kai’s kid brother and sister as much as he drools over Kai, but the guy sports more prickles than a horned toad, and more secrets than the exotic land he comes from.

Kai’s earned his privacy and lives to protect his “kids.” He ought to stay away from the big, handsome cowboy for everyone’s sake—but since the guy’s just a haole on a short vacation, how much damage can he do? When all of Kai’s worst fears and Rand’s darkest nightmares come true at once, there’s not much chance for two cowboys who can’t—or won’t—come out.

Excerpt

He stopped and tried to hear over the rushing of the surf out beyond the reef if anyone else hid in the dark. No sounds. Fortunately, no big water hit this beach, so he didn’t have to worry about getting swamped. Actually, between the lapping waves and the brilliant moonlight, the scene resembled some fairy-tale romance. Fuck that.

Right where the dry sand verged on the wet, he flopped on his butt. What she’d said—that he settled for a good-enough life. That he wasn’t happy. Don’t I get to decide that?

He leaned back on his elbows. Yeah, but she’s right. I created a whole life—as if I was somebody else. Most people find “the one” and build a future so it suits them both. I imagined a cowboy and slid into his boots—Rand McIntyre. Say that with a drawl, son. Just one problem. I’m gay—always have been—and cowboys don’t come out. Where does that leave me? A-fucking-lone, pardner. Always will be.

You’re not the only gay cowboy.

Have you seen Brokeback Mountain? Shit.

Phosphorescence sparkled on the tops of the waves farther out. Pretty. Guess there could be all kinds of weird man-eating shit in that water.

Do you think more sharks and barracudas swim at night than during the day?

Yeah, right.

He sprang up, stripped his Hawaiian shirt off and tossed it on the sand, then pulled off the shorts his mom had given him. Commando. What would it feel like to have fishes nibbling at his balls? Not like anybody else was doing any nibbling. He strode into the water. Whoa! Not cold, just startling.

When he waded out past his thighs, his penis and balls started to float. He chuckled. Kind of like being a kid in the bathtub. Endless hours of fun playing with your own built-in toys. A few more steps, and he submerged to his shoulders. He gave a tiny shiver. Weird being sunk in inky blackness. Still, the water felt good. He kicked off and swam a few yards out, turned, and stroked back towards shore. He wasn’t a good enough swimmer to push his luck alone at night.

After treading water a couple of minutes, he pulled himself back into the shallows and sat on the hard wet beach. He glanced down. Some shrinkage, but his balls still lay on the sand. Remember to rinse them off or you’ll itch. Slowly he released his breath. What was he going to do? Answer? Same as always. Nothing. He couldn’t risk all the great shit he’d made to try to make it better.

Bleu Balls
(Balls to the Wall Series #7)
By Tara Lain

Blurb:
Double trouble. The McMillan twins, Robin and Bobby, are renowned for their talents—both as fine artists and for thrilling the various men who catch their eyes. As different in style and personality as their DNA is identical, they’re nonetheless best friends who divide and conquer, with Robin doing the serious painting and Bobby adding the sunny salesmanship. But when their most important client decides Bobby must wield the paintbrush, the brothers revert to childhood tactics and switch places. Then along comes Micah, a handsome doctor who’s attracted to Bobby but invites Robin out to try to please his homophobic brother, and Paolo, the pain-in-the-butt client who thinks he’s wooing Bobby when he’s actually after Robin. Paolo harbors his own hidden pain that weirdly intersects with Robin’s, but pride and privacy conspire to produce what will either be a masterpiece—or end up as Dogs Playing Poker.

Excerpts

“Hey, gorgeous, want to dance?”
Bobby looked up at the attractive guy who’d been
eyeing him for the last hour. “Oh, I don’t know—”
“Come on, Bobby, go. Go!” Rodney pushed Bobby out
of the chair.
He smiled, but it took some effort. “Okay, so I
guess yes.” He followed the man’s trim ass in nice summer-wool slacks toward
the tiny dance floor in the lounge at the Rose. Jerry and his honey, Mick, were
already dancing. The two big firefighters took up more than their share of the
available boogie space, but they looked so happy it made Bobby tear up.
The guy turned and pulled Bobby into his arms.
Clearly he intended to lead. Okay with
me.
“I’m Aaron, by the way.” The guy had nice hazel eyes and carefully
brushed brown hair.
“Bobby.”
He started a not-very-complex box step. “You’re
an artist, aren’t you?”
“Yes, how did you know?”
“I saw you at the Sawdust. I really like your
stuff. Very unique.”
“Thank you.” Come
on, be charming.
“What do you do?”
“Stockbroker. Let me know if you need any
investment tips.”
Bobby laughed. “Believe me, artists need tips on
keeping their rent paid, although I’ll admit, we’re having a good summer.”
“We?”
“Me and my brother. We paint together.”
“Oh. Interesting. Keeping it in the—holy shit!”
Bobby looked up at Aaron and followed his line of
sight to the door—where, sure enough, Robin had just walked in. Bobby waggled
his fingers and called over the piped-in music. “Hi, dear.”
Robin waved back.
Aaron said, “But you two are identical.”
“Yes, of course. We’re the McMillan twins.”
Bobby felt Aaron react—somewhere between a jerk
and a laugh.
“What?” Bobby looked up into a face that had been
pleasant and now leered.
“Fuck, why didn’t you tell me you were Double
Trouble?”
Bobby frowned. “Was I supposed to?”
“Shit, yes. I mean, what does it take to get some
backroom action from you two? Hell, I can pay.”
“Pay?” Bobby pressed his hands against Aaron’s
chest and shoved. “Get your hands off me, you pervert.”
“What?”
Bobby turned his tail and flipped it back to the
table—but his insides rolled with anger and nausea.
Robin saw his face and sprang up. “What’s wrong?
What happened?”
“Nothing I don’t deserve. He saw you and realized
we were Double Trouble. He said he’d like to pay us.” Robin clenched his fists,
but Bobby put a hand on his arm. “You can’t blame him for getting the wrong
idea.”
“Oh? Watch me.” Robin stared pugnaciously across
the dance floor.

He uncovered the paints he’d left on his huge palette. Plastic kept
them wet so they could be used a second day.
Funny how he hadn’t minded pretending to be Bobby all that much.
The world looked different when people expected him to be nice.
Clearing his mind, he faced the wall and began to paint.
A second later—maybe more like an hour—the scaffold began to shake.
Okay, get ready to be your brother.
Paolo’s perfect face popped over the top, and he gave Robin a half
smile that reminded him of himself. Robin plastered on the huge, pearly Bobby
face. “Hiiiii!”
Paolo swung himself up and gazed at the wall. “Man, you made some
progress. But you covered over some of the light parts. Decide against them?”
Robin planted a hand on his hip. “Yes, I didn’t think it deserved
to be too sunny.”
“I like this better.”
“You would.” He arched a brow, and Paolo snorted a laugh.
“So did you get the pieces mailed?” Paolo kept staring at the
canvas.
What the hell? “Uh, yes.”
Those piercing eyes stared at Robin. “Was Robin there when you went
in?”
“Oh, yes. Yes, he was.”
“So he went to the post office?”
“Uh-huh.” Robin daubed some paint on the mural. What the hell was
Paolo talking about?
“So you sent off that coat and jacket?” Paolo stood. Robin could
feel the movement more than see it as he stared hard at the wall.
Well, shit. Coat? “Right.” Try
to look engrossed.
Strong hands clasped his shoulders, and he was physically turned.
Okay, Robin was pretty strong, but Paolo stood a good five inches taller and fifty
pounds heavier, plus Robin wasn’t fighting. Paolo gave him a narrow-eyed smile.
“I thought we could take up where we left off last night.” He leaned in and his
lips captured Robin’s with an intensity that spoke of dark bedrooms, not narrow
wooden platforms in the sky.
Do not give a shit. Those lips are heaven.
Robin dropped his brush—God knew what it did to Paolo’s $300
jeans—and wrapped his arms around Paolo so tight he could have been arrested
for kidnapping. Paolo’s tongue scoured the secret hiding places in Robin’s
mouth, and for a moment Robin forgot try to take charge. He just enjoyed and
let one leg float up Paolo’s hip. Five inches doth not a solid contact make,
but Robin humped Paolo’s thigh and pressed the heel of his hand against the big
bulge in Paolo’s pants. Oh yeah, that got a moan of enthusiasm from Mr. Hunky
Architect.
Robin slid his hands over Paolo’s hard-as-iron butt—What does he do with that thing?—and
squeezed and released. Damn, if they lay down, could they fuck here? No, no
lube or condoms. But a good blowjob could still be in order.
Robin released Paolo and started sliding to the floor. It took work
to inch down Paolo’s fly over that mighty erection, but finally he achieved
release and reached into a pair of baby blue boxer briefs to free the
inhabitant.
“My oh my.” Long, sturdy, cut, and straight as an arrow.
Paolo just breathed—really loudly.
“Mine.” Robin licked the fat head and got a slow, soft moan from
Paolo. Ah yes, encouragement. Wonder how
far Bobby went last night?
He laved the sides of the shaft, then, counting
on the element of surprise, thrust that solid eight-inch dick into his mouth
and down his throat in one smooth move.
“Holy shit!” Paolo locked his hands in Robin’s hair. Pushed and
pulled back, pushed and pulled back. Robin’s tongue reveled in the smooth
firmness of the shaft, the silk of the head, and the intrigue of secret
crevices. “Oh man. Oh.” Steadily, Paolo pushed Robin in farther and farther—then
suddenly, with a yank, he pulled Robin’s head away from his cock until he
looked down in his face.
“Why’d you make me stop? You don’t appreciate talent?” Robin
grinned.

Paolo gazed at him. “I do appreciate talent, and you’re loaded with
it on every level. What I don’t appreciate are liars, and you sure as fuck
aren’t Bobby.”
