I posted a blog today about titles and realized when i did it that my title for the new book isn’t necessarily obvious to everyone. So i thought i’d explain the title creation process on this one.As you know, Brush with Catastrophe is the sequel to Spell Cat. Spell Cat, the story of a witch who has a black cat familiar, has one of those titles that just leap out and smack you in the face. I laughed when i thought of it.

For the sequel, i wanted a word with Cat in it and because the book deals with a huge battle between good and evil, i thought the word Catastrophe might be good. But what went with catastrophe? My hero is a prophetic painter. One morning i literally woke up and sat up in bed with the word Brush in my mind. Like paint brush. Brush with Catastrophe! That’s how it was born.

There will be, God willing, another book in this series, and i’m already working on the title. I think i have it. Of course, now i need a book.

If you’d like to be kept up to date on my upcoming releases and the contests and giveaways that go with them along with great guests, please sign up for my mail list. It’s at the top of the right hand column on this blog. I have my first MF release coming out in ten days! And another Balls book will be here December 7th! It’s called Snow Balls and it could be my favorite so far. Maybe.  : )
