BillyHi and welcome —

If you follow my books, you know the recent past has been packed with football players and werewolves! My last five books have included two New Adult American football romance novels and the three books of my popular series, Tales of the Harker Pack, about werewolves and a panther shifter in Connecticut. Both of these series will have more books, but in the near future we have a change of pace.

Tara Lain Blue Collar!

My next novel — the longest i’ve written — is titled Knight of Ocean Avenue and it’s the first book in a new series called Love in Laguna. This book comes out on May 1st. Following that book in the summer will be the second novel in the series, Knave of Broken Hearts. Surprisingly for Tara Lain stories, both offfbe502af9637253a54f85f2ad48e059 these books have blue collar heroes. In fact, they’re both construction workers. And, because it’s me, they both fall for unlikely men — a flamboyant stylist in the first book, and a beautiful cardiologist who looks like a yaoi hero in the second.

The Cover Reveal fro Knight of Ocean Avenue is April 1st and the book goes on pre-sale that same day.

First let me ask, would you like to be a blogger in my Knight of Ocean Avenue Blog Tour? Sign up HERE —

Here’s another idea. If you will post reviews — preferably on Amazon as well as any other sites you frequent — i would be happy to give you an ARC (Author Review Copy). You can email me at tara at taralain dot com and tell me where you will review.

Here is the blurb for Knight of Ocean Avenue. I loved writing this book and Billy is a favorite hero. I hope he turns out to be a fave of yours too.

How can you be twenty-five and not know you’re gay? Billy Ballew runs from that question. A high school dropout, barely able to read until he taught himself, Billy’s life is driven by his need to help support his parents as a construction worker, put his sisters through college, coach his Little League team, and not think about being a three-time loser in the engagement department. Being terrified of taking tests keeps Billy from getting the contractor’s license he so desires, and fear of his mother’s judgement blinds Billy to what could make him truly happy.

Then, in preparation for his sister’s big wedding, Billy meets Shaz—Chase Phillips—a rising star, celebrity stylist who defines the word gay. To Shaz, Billy embodies everything he’s ever wanted—stalwart, honest, brave—but even if Billy turns out to be gay, he could never endure the censure he’d get for being with a queen like Shaz. How can two men with so little in common find a way to be together? Can the Stylist of the Year end up with the Knight of Ocean Avenue?

Think you’ll like blue collar Tara Lain style?  : )
